A notice appears in the small town weekly. A … A notice appears in the small town weekly. A murder is announced at 6:30 tonight at a local home. This is your invitation. Very Engaging 1950s Mystery A notice appears in the Chipping Cleghorn Gazette -“A murder is announced and will take place on Friday October 29th, at Little Paddocks at 6:30 p.m.” Is this some sort of game to be played, a prank or some sort of joke? Curious neighbors show up and, at the appointed time as the clock strikes, the lights go out (naturally), an intruder appears, shots are fired and the police (and Miss Marple) have a murder on their hands.

30 at Paddock House everyone shows up expecting a fun mystery game When an ad appears in the village newspaper inviting everyone to attend a murder at 6:30 at Paddock House everyone shows up expecting a fun mystery game. But then the lights go out and a masked gunman appears and announces it’s a holdup. He starts shooting then falls dead. Was it an accident or suicide, the police believe it might have been murder. Enter Miss Marple who is invited to visit by a niece. There is a delightful cast of characters, an excellent mastery and a fun read.
