3 classic mysteries from the hit PBS series, as seen on PBS’s Masterpiece Mystery.

David Suchet returns as the dapper Belgian detective in these three feature-length mysteries from the hit series. Aided by Captain Hastings (Hugh Fraser, Sharpe) and Chief Inspector Japp (Philip Jackson, Little Voice), Hercule Poirot tackles the trickiest of cases with savvy and finesse. These newly remastered episodes bring Agatha Christie’s 1930s Europe to vibrant life. Guest stars include Donald Sumpter (Game of Thrones) and Christopher Eccleston (Doctor Who).

The Mysteries (original U.K. broadcast order):

“The ABC Murders”—Poirot investigates the baffling mystery of a murderer who announces his next victims through a series of chilling letters, each addressed to the detective himself.

“Death in the Clouds”—There’s murder in the skies as a ruthless blackmailer is killed on board a plane full of likely suspects. Unfortunately for the culprit, a certain Belgian detective is a fellow passenger.

“One, Two, Buckle My Shoe”—When a popular dentist is gunned down, a murderous chain of events ensues. A broken shoe buckle becomes the key to untangling a deadly web of deception.

Harold Wolf "Doc" says:

Poirot, Agatha Christie, David Suchet always, always GOOD Remastered series 4 is 3 102 min. murders solved by Poirot, the masterful Belgian `little gray cell’ man who forever out-sleuths Scotland Yard. Brilliant David Suchet is Poirot, enough said. Philip Jackson plays Chief Inspector Japp in all 3 episodes having a larger than previous role in 2 & 3 since Hastings (Hugh Fraser) Poirot’s right-hand is available for only the first episode. Being all Agatha Christie stories makes it fantastic, but Suchet makes the film adaptations soar to new heights…

Jerry M. Hoffman "Michael" says:

Love it! The blu ray makes it much better. For some reason the scenes in darkness have snow in them. Other than that great stuff.
