The David Suchet portrayal of Hercule Poirot is certainly the best film or television rendition of the famous Belgian detective ever produced. He is absolutely believable or, to phrase it another way, there is absolute “suspension of disbelief” as we watch him in action. The episodes closely follow the original story lines, and they are produced with a real sensitivity to the time and the place.
