Enjoyable mystery and characters I am not into mysteries or Agatha Christie. . but enjoyed this book. Good clean reading and felt like I was right there with each character in their dilemma. Good ending. Also, this is a good start-up book for someone wanting to begin reading mysteries, especially this author, who has written 100+.. of which my daughter has read all of them and has reread many for the second and third time. Recommend

Old Thing, Indeed! Stereotypical characters and situations seem dated now, but weren’t when and where the book was written. Some humor may be lost in today’s readers, and the “old thing” rings badly in the contemporary ear. Still, there’s lots of fun in revisiting a genre and a time period.

DCN says:

Fantastic! Absolutely loved it! Fun mystery packed with adventure and a touch of romance without being gushy. The characters are charming and admirable yet are beautifully balanced with being relatable and unpredictable. Agatha Christie was a genius of a writer.
